Explain your achievements: MLA Rashid to Separatists

Rafiabad: MLA Langate Engineer Sheikh Abdul Rashid today said that Kashmiris have offered huge sacrifices not for any interim arrangement but for a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue.

Rashid who visited Laiser village and met Ashiq Hussain’s family, expressed solidarity with the bereaved.

 

While addressing a public meeting, in Laiser, Rashid asked both factions of the Hurriyat Conference to inform people about their achievements so far. “People have every right to know what their sacrifices have yielded so far and what the Hurriyat Conference which claims to be the representatives of the sentiments of the people have achieved vis-à-vis resolution of the Kashmir issue,” MLA Langate stressed.

 

He said that Kashmiris have not sacrificed for autonomy, Self Rule or Sadak Pani Bijli but have been demanding a permanent solution to the problem without which peace of the state and of whole region is impossible. He said that a long lasting and practicable solution of the Kashmir Problem is not possible until a serious dialogue is initiated and stake holders like United Jihad Council is included in it.

 

The MLA Langate said that the killing of Ashiq Hussain speaks volumes about the security, an ordinary Kashmiri possess. “Government of India should explain that what happened to its promise of zero tolerance for human rights in Kashmir. The central government and the state government owes and explanation to people that if an innocent person like Ashiq can be killed inside his home what can be the fate of rest of the people living in other far flung areas?” he asked.

 

The MLA Langate appealed people to create their own Bait-ul-Maal in every village so that an immediate relief is extended to any family in the hour of grief.

 

Mean while Rsheed paid Rs 50,000/= cash relief to the bereaved family on behalf of his Joint Effort Trust. He emphasized the need of local relief comities and appealed the people for establishment of such bodies in every area so that the needy could get help in case a natural or unnatural calamity.  (AIP News)
